Right now have three call duck eggs in the incubator on day 29. I started out with 4 but one spoiled somewhere along its incubation route. On day 24 we took the turner out of the incubator and put the duck eggs in "lock down" I thought I heard some peeping coming from the incubator on day 27.Tthis morning I thought I saw the egg move a little bit, but it is hard to tell. Right now there is nothing going on at all. I don't know if I should just wait it out and hope they hatch, or help them out Any Advice?

It all depends on who you ask, but if it were me I would help.
If you candle them, can you see their bills moving inside the shell? Some calls have trouble hatching because they have such small bills. If I have some hatching that don't break the shell within a day, then I break the shell in the air cell area and help them little by little

OK, so I candled them and one egg has its little beak in the air pocket and is moving just barely. One egg has two large air holes at each end so I think he died

. And the final one looks good but does not have his beak in the air hole. How should I break the shell? And then what should i do? Thank You so much for this help. These are the eggs from my now diseased pair of white call ducks. (They were killed by a fisher family that lives on our property)

So I looked at other forums and decided to help them out. I took off the shell over the air pocket on all the eggs. two eggs are doing good and have there little beaks in the air, but nothing else. One of them (the one with two air sacs) had trouble I opened it up and this yellow goo started coming out so I thought it was dead. I took it out in the woods and pealed off all the shell just to try and find out what happened and just to see what it looks like, and then it started kicking. So i put it back in the incubator but it still has its yolk attached and is now not moving at all

. What should i do? And is there any more to do with the other two eggs?

I usually peel the shell a little so they can breath. Watch the membrane to make sure it doesnt dry out. You can dab it with warm water if it starts to look dry (be sure you hands are clean).
I peel a little shell at a time. If they are breaking back the membrane that's good. If not, you can gently start to peel it but DON'T let it bleed. You may only get a little each time you try (maybe a couple times a day). Eventually it should come out on it's own. If the membrane dries and sticks to the duckling be sure you peel it off. That will make it easier for it to hatch. Feel free to message me and send me pictures if you want!
I'll do my best to help!
