An old man wearing emerald green robes motioned for the first person to come up. Fern felt herself being shoved to the front of the line. Now she was second to first she realized in a panic.

A boy was pushed up onto the stage. "I- my names Jhonas," he stuttered. The old man wearing the green robes motioned to the stone. Jhonas touched the stone and transformed into a rat. The crowed tried to hide their giggles. Fern's heart dropped into her stomach.
