Callery Pear tree safe?

I guess I should be asking, if songbirds eat callery pears ok, would it be ok for a duck?

I have a tree we are assuming is a callery pear tree where I would be keeping future ducks and the nut things fall into the ground. I haven't found much info on wildlife or ducks eating them or being harmed by them. However I read one of the main ways the tree spreads are by songbirds even though I rarely see a bird in those trees.
Has anyone had any experience of ducks or chickens eating them off of the ground? I mean I'd hope they would ignore them, but thought I'd ask anyway.

The branches are high and squirrels eat the pear nut things and seem to be ok.

I did a quick search, and it doesn't seem to be toxic to ducks.

I have a cousin to it in a Bradford pear and it gets these type of fruit and as far as I know, if any of my chicken's ducks or geese have eaten any it hasn't killed them or made them sick.
