I doubt the little one is going to get nicer...if anything, it will continue to do this and become even more aggressive as it gets bigger. new home for it or cull it because it is not going to be a floack animal. Sorry I just do not see any other option.

Thanks everyone. The suggestions aren't what I want to hear, but it's always good to know the worst case scenario up front. Even if it does make me want to scream.

I did try to red brooder light - it doesn't slow him down. And like I said, he's got a really pecking thing for the yellow chicks and my buff orp is kinda small anyway and rapidly becoming my favorite.
