Calling all duck owners ...need answers

They dont know either ......they said best bet is pekin khaki....i guess ill just wait unttil they are older. Do pekins and or khakis lay a lot of eggs?

Yep they both do. They sure look like buffs. Im assuming like many others on here the store just didnt know what they have.
Were they able to tell if they were from a hatchery?

I think you have buffs. I've hatched 3 ducklings from my Pekin and Khaki and they've all come out looking similar to Black Swedish, with a shimmer of brown.

@ducks4us they were from a hatchery. Ill just have to wait and see when they get older. I would like to know just because, better understand the breed and egg productivity. But hey if they lay a lot of eggs Im happy with that. Ill just say they are buff because they look exactly like them they look nothing like pekins...khakis maybe

Thats good they told you from a hatchery that means you know they are a pure breed.
In a couple weeks it will be real clear.

They are so cute! I love that middle stage where they are looking so big but still have all that baby fuzz!
