Sorry, I'm not sure I understand this? Are you suggesting you don't see a split tail or that a split tail isn't a DQ? I know you're not trying to start a battle of wits as you're only half prepared.

Don't let someone sell you long legged birds. the legs should be about 3/4" long. That's about the width of my index finger. When I lay my finger accross a Japs leg I want to see feathers on one side & foot on the other.

Congrats!! If you hatch eggs from them, I recommend doing some research/reading on the Lethal Gene in Japanese Bantams.
