Calling All New Brinsea Owners!!! January Hatch-a-long...

Hi finally plugged in my Brinsea mini advance today to test it out. The temp has been running a steady 37.5 C for the last 4 hrs. Looking for advice on what to change some of the other factory settings to: alarm hi is for 2.0c alarm lo for 3.0c - should I leave them there, or set closer to the 37.5?

What is the best turning interval? currently set to 45 minutes. And I'm guessing the turning angle for most chicken and duck eggs is 10?

Any other settings I should change?

Thanks

I started using the octagon 20 about a week prior to hatch. I transferred 9 (shipped) eggs from my LG incubator into the octagon. Of the nine that I placed in the octagon, two were under-developed (upon eggcropcy) and one quit on hatch day (despite efforts to assist the hatch).

I use the HygroSet II (http://www.amazon.com/HygroSet-Adjustable-Round-Digital-Hygrometer/dp/B000H6CZQE). I have 2 of them and they have given me accurate readings.
I did purchase the auto turner as I work full time.

Woohoo!! I thought about getting the 40 but I *have* to have a humidity pump and that's just too much $$ for me.. Also, my hubby will kill me for hatching that many eggs at once.. He doesn't know about the ones you are sending me!
