Calling all New Brinsea Owners - PRIZES - March Hatch-a-long

I just saw this thread can I still join? I have two hatches going in my Brinseas right now, one in the eco and one in the advance. Only one is due to hatch this month. I have Ameraucanas, Buckeyes and Olive Eggers due to hatch on March 26.

I'll take pictures when they hatch, but I wanted to post my all time favorite hatch picture. Ironincally, I just posted it on the Brinsea site before I saw this thread.

I do not do Face%$#@, So I will not be entering the contest...More chance for you guys.// Anyhow,Ihave 17 of 24 hatched, with 2 laggers working through right now. The hatch 21 day interval was over at 5 last night. I have one zipped Welsummer who cannot get out. SHe has been zipped for around 10 hrs. I can see her breathing and struggling. Should I help?..
By the way, I have lifted the lid twice to remove chicks to the brooder. I noticed that the second set of hatchers after the top removal struggled a bit more. Ill be trying to avoid that again. I know, you told me so... This is an empoweringexperience... No more hatcheries???!!!!!... Yay!!!

Sorry you don't do FB HiddenHill Heretic!

I had a zipped chick for over 20 hrs- I was tempted to open and help but I resisted. They all came out like popcorn after that one hatched! Patience!

This is for the March Hatch-a-Long. Hatched 6 out of 7 eggs 3/7/11 in our Mini Advance! We love our Brinsea! So much better than the last incubator we were using. Also loving our Ecoglow brooder. Saving us tons of money on electricity over the 250W bulb we were using.

Hi there is no image, but I see this is only your first post. I believe that new users are not able to post images until they have posted a number of times (15/30? not sure)

ok i have a minor problem i have the brinsea octagon 20 advanced and i am doing a staggered hatch because thats the way the eggs arrived in the mail. so the first hatch is gonna be on the 23rd and the second hatch on the28th. but my problem is that with all the eggs in the incubator there isnt any free space for the chicks once they hatch. is this going to be a major problem? do i need to fireup the old styrofoam incubator and do my 1st hatch in that? anyone ever have this happen? thanks all

My hatch was like this as well but 4 days apart. I let my original eggs hatch in my mini advance and moved my other eggs to my styrofoam bater when lockdown occurred. Both groups hatched out just fine.
