CALLING ALL ORPINGTON OWNERS!

Pics
Recently, we purchased 4 new chick's. 2 were said to be Buff Orpingstons. I've looked up photos of them & they look nothing like that. The pics showed a tan hen. These are black with brown. I'll post a photo when we get home. Could they be something else? We also brought home 2 Easter Eggers that are similar in color. Maybe they gave us all EE? Or something completely different? Bought at Tractor Supply. 🚜
They probably did. I had bought a buff orpington last year. But i got a light brahma.

You all have me convinced to try another couple of Orpington chicks. We have a lavender orp in our mixed flock, and she’s by far the least friendly of the bunch. She’s been that way since she was tiny. Always screaming when you pick her up, and now she’ll bite when you try to pick her up. We handled her more than any of the others because she was such a maniac chick. 😂 luckily she’s fine as long as you don’t try to handle her, and shes friendly enough with the other girls. I tell her all the time though that she better be nice or she’ll be the first one in the cook pot. (Only Kidding- don’t think we could eat any of these birds.)

They probably did. Do they all have chipmunk stripes?

What are these? Anyone know? The one in front should be an Easter egger the other 2 buffs.

I had one very mean Orpington hen (she walked up to me and ate all the skin off of my knee) but all the rest have been the best birds I have ever owned.

I have isabel english orps and red cuckoo orps hatching today. They shipped across the country from Carolina Rare Chicks so send me all your happy thoughts! I had trouble getting the heat up on that bator so maybe they will take a little longer. I really have to invest in a really, really good bator. Any suggestions?

I love all the beautiful pictures of everyone's orpingtons. I think they are the most beautiful chickens ever!
I just bought 2 English Isabel Cuckoo pullets along with blacks, splash, sl, and blues from CRC. The Isabels have turned out to be the meanest birds I've ever had. The rest are great. I've tried time outs and Daniel even suggested beak trimming, which will not change the behavior of the birds. I've had to sell them at quite a loss, just to keep peace in the flock.
One of the reasons I bought these birds is Daniel's description on his website that IC are the tamest, most docile birds he has on his entire farm. Boy, did I get two lemons.

I had something like thay happen with my easter eggers. They were super sweet and friendly except for one. But then one of the friendly ones attack my brahma. And i had to get rid of her i tried everything to stop her. Then she started attacking the other easter eggers and me.

Yikes! Four of the 12 Isabel hatched and they seem friendly to me. Oh wait, those weren't from CRC, those were from Papas. My hatch from CRC was horrid, but one of my incubators was heat spiking so I had to replace it. I got 2 red cuckoo and 2 Isabel from them. If the chicks weren't straight run, I'd buy chicks. My post office can't seem to get employees and the ones they do get don't pay attention.
