Calling all pictures of Barnevelders

I doubt Aus is cheaper...we have very very tight customs laws and such...It's really annoying that we don't have some of the really cool breeds like Crevecouer, La Fleche, Dominique or Buckeye, but the quality of the breeds we do have makes up for it

I posted on another thread but didn't get any responses. Could you all be so kind as to give her a critique/

Thanks!

Just thought I'd share and request any feedback. This is a new closeup pic of my barnie sleeping on the roost. It does show some of the neck coloring and barring. This was taken at night in the coop but colors are pretty close.

The picture isn't very clear, but the lacing seems ok although it could be a little more defined. Her legs seem to be a little pale, but in some lines that is a problem. Not white legs, but not true bright yellow. She looks like shes a pretty hen though.

Hi Trisha! Minnie went to live with a friend but I still have another from you that is almost 8 months. She and my huge black orp, lav orp and welsummer arn't laying yet...they are taking their time and with the winter in full swing, I'll be patient (yeah right) till spring!

Hi Cheryl,

I have a few that haven't started yet either, but there is hope. I just had one pullet start yesterday without added lights. I think the funky weather swings we had of highs of 80's down to lows of 17's didn't help the egg production at all.

I hope Minnie has a good life at her new home

Here is a example of lacing that is pretty clean, even and without the light shafting. I have some better feather examples saved up, but my camera can be a pain in the butt to get clear shots from it.
