I've only ever had two licking rabbits, they're usually too timid to lick even if it's out of curiosity.

Niven is a licker. Anytime you pet her, she tries to groom you in return. She also licks people’s ankles to get their attention when she wants pets.

Could be. Rabbits can be very territorial he might be confused by the scent of another rabbit in his home turf
