Ooh, you take German? I love German. I'm of Germanic descent so I found it fitting to learn it. I'm not in any course or anything, so it's slow going. I actually have a friend who lived in Germany for 6 months!

I'm taking Spanish right now, but once I enlist (USAF), the particular MOS I want (1Z4X1, Special Reconnaissance) requires you to learn yet another language, so I might do German or Russian. If I even make it past selection and into Special Warfare training of course. The first (and only as of 2019) female that tried out for SR was dropped in selection. I hope I'll be the one to make it...

I am in my 3rd year of spanish and I haven't learned much of anything. After the test we move on and I forget everything we just learned

Yeah, that's why I'd love to do something with language immersion. It has to stick or you're screwed.

Apparently enlisted AF absolutely sucks and they screw you over basically for life but that sounds cool. Can you get into AFROTC?

I love German too, I have Italian and German descent but I find German a romantic language and I just wanted to learn it I also know some Korean.

Yeah, that's why I'd love to do something with language immersion. It has to stick or you're screwed.

For real the reason I started learning German before Italian (I plan on learning several languages lol) is because when I was like 7 I tried to learn Spanish for like 2 years and it never stuck. Italian is supposedly very similar to Spanish.

Um concerned and confused I had family members in both and let me tell you Air Force is better from what I’ve heard
