Calling all teenagers

Anyone have ducks? Ill be getting 2 in the spring probanly a Blue swedish and a Welsh harlequin. I just feel like something will go wrong even if i am prepared.

Not me, although there's so many slugs in the moment that I've been thinking about it.

Ive wanted ducks for 2 years and finally my parents are letting me get 2. 1 for every year i annoyed them with information about them.

I know, but my chickens are messy to. And we have a friend that has ducks, they clena their duck coop every 2 to 3 days and the pool and water daily.

My problem is that I had 5. There was way more mess. It won't be so bad with just 2 but you'll still have some stuff. The problem is they just love their water and playing it making it messy

They’re messy for sure. We had 4 and even then felt like we were always cleaning up. They just poo wherever then walk in it and then walk in their drinking water

I had to make a gold pan for science today.
it almost didnt work but Dad helped and the clay was finally tamed. So now its by the woodstove and im thinking they want me to smash some pyrite tomorrow which i DONT want to do cuz its so pretty and i dont want to ruin it

I treat every animal ive ever had like its my child.

My dad has the animals are animals mindset. Our coop is barely big enough this year and Dad said, "well, if some cant fit and freeze to death, we'll have enough room for all the chickens" I've lost none so far though. Dont get me wrong, he's really great and if i came to him for help or guidence he would gladly give it to me, but "animals are are animals" Thats why chickens are MY job. He like the pigs which you kill in the end anyway.
