Thanks! His head/face got sunken in too. He only lived to 6 1/2. But he was a XL dog too

Completely understand. I don't like to look at photos of my dogs when they were ill.

I hadn’t either. I did a lot of research at the time and thought it might be Masticatory muscle myositis (MMM) which the vet did too but didn’t know much about it cause he hadn’t really seen it before and said he’d research. But whatever it was, took him in the end. He didn’t really have the chewing/jaw thing though. Just VERY sunken head/face.

Thanks. Yeah, he lived with it for kind of a while but I didn’t realize how bad he looked even though he acted fine till the end. Even then he’d be fine, not fine, fine again. Made it hard to know.
