Oh I never knew about that! mine passed away protecting my flock from a fox but I'll have to look into that since I'm getting alot of heavy breeds in a few months

Sad thing is a lot of hatcheries breed theirs either to lay tons of eggs, get fat, or both, assuming that the end user does not care about the pet capabilities of the animal.

I know! I'm so happy I remembered to incubate some eggs before they were no longer fertile since they only stay fertile for around 4 weeks after there is no longer a rooster present. How would you do that? Cause actually one of my barred rocks is getting a little chubby...

Give them smaller portions, and only give it to them at certain times of day.

That's sad yeah I want meat and eggs but i still want them to have the best life that I can give them
