calling any one from missouri

I have a MS290... which is just an older generation 291... and once I looked into what I’d need to mill boards... I decided it wouldn’t be up for that task...

Do you use a ripping chain for that?

Yea I agree the 290/291 is just too small for milling, the 391 is marginal but works. After milling all day yesterday 100cc would have been nice to have but 64cc works if a bit slow. The 8 1/2' log took 14 minutes per cut. The cuts were about 28" thick. I don't think I would try and mill boards with the Alaskan chainsaw saw mill and a 64cc power head, but getting that log sized so I can mill it on my buddies bandsaw mill is ok. I could cut it now on the bandsaw mill as it's 24" wide and 30" tall but it's too heavy to handle by hand.

Oregon makes a ripping chain with 15° cutters.

ACS setup for first cut.

Quitting time, I have two more trim cuts left to have 24" square logs.
Which would fit in the bandsaw mill but too big to move without hydraulics so gotta cut them in half and try to move a 12" x 24" slab.

I was picking kale for a salad and found someone is sharing my kale....

I just learned about 'massaging' kale for salad, that rubbing the pieces between your fingers (w a bit of salt and olive oil) makes it more tender. It really does! But I don't want to massage any bugs into my salad....

Beautiful! I just got back from chaperoning a youth group camping trip and saw a pair of these that kept landing on one of the kids' head as he paddled about in a kayak. Also got to see a bear cub, hear coyotes nearby and get next to no sleep(teenage girls like to talk a LOT). We were without any cell service there so I'm wondering if that is why I got 0 notifications on this thread. Y'all been talking about bugs and gardens and all kinds of stuff!
