I just had to butcher my tom turkey yesterday. He killed a rooster and 3 hens (chickens). The hens he either tore up their backs too much or squished them trying to mate with them. The rooster I assume was trying to defend his hens and the tom didn't like it. Anyway, a friend of mine and her family will be enjoying a Thanksgiving dinner in August.My neighbor had 4 turkeys, 2 toms and 2 hens... the toms were HUGE and one would walk around all day strumming and strutting. They were quite intimidating to be near. She had to get rid of the toms because one was killing chickens.
