calling any one from missouri

Apparently not far enough…maybe 1/3 mile.
I’d have taken it 5-10 miles, but now that it has killed a chick, yeah about its days being numbered.....
We have a box turtle that I once relocated because it was eating cucumbers. I took it 1 1/2 miles. My sister told me they will return home or die trying. 3 mo later it was back. I had photographed it and it was the same——their shell markings are unique. I felt bad about relocating it and have just allowed it to eat the low hanging cukes each year. It is here this year, and it remembered the one opening I made for it in the armadillo fence last year. It goes in and out. Reptiles are very smart.

Don't bring em this direction I don't want them!

Our little chick, one month old, has been accepted by the flock, doesn’t always stay w mama hen or call for her if she’s not near. Here it is this morning with mama and Papa rooster as well.

@karenerwin her is a photo of the T-Pole or Stooge used to lift sheetrock to the ceiling. It doesn't have to be this fancy but you should get the idea. After I left I remembered using a 6' ladder, lift one end and place the ladder under it then lift the other end and secure with the stooge then lift the first end the last 2' and secure with the stooge. Unlike the poor photo example place the stooge under a joist...

I forgot to put my sheetrock saw and rasp in the bag... if you guys are going to be there tomorrow I can drop them off. Pop Quiz tomorrow on what you learned today

I’m not sure I’m ready for a pop quiz!! But yes we should be here until about 3:00 tomorrow.

Went to Lowes & got 1/2” hardware cloth. Reinforced the secure-from-everything-but-snakes run. Coop was already good. (Coop stays open to secure run, run opens to chicken yard daily.) Hoping that takes care of nighttime visits. No sign of snake today. Everyone is still bunking together.

Gimpy is no worse. She sat most of the day. I got her up to eat & drink this evening. She was very chatty & went out to hang with the others before bedtime.

The soffit and fascia look like he forgot to use any nails... I've not seen anything like that before short of a tornado. Good idea to let him go.

We had a basement that had been framed, ready for drywall...I swear they gave the job to a bunch of drunken baboons. Some pieces would have a dozen badly-driven nails in one spot, others would have one nail but in the wrong spot. It was actually pretty hilarious. I really do think they were completely drunk or stoned the entire time, because it's hard for even a complete novice to pull that sort of insanity!
