Then he checked inside and found that our compressor has a leak. The good news is that it's under warranty, the bad news is that he can't even order parts until Tuesday and then he isn't sure how long it will take for them to come in..

Did you get the AC working again?

I went by your house 4 times today! I went to McCoys with a load of scrap steel and some copper and brass and a few other things. Went through the procedure and went inside to get paid. He was real busy and after I got paid I headed home, I got to the north side of town and glanced at the receipt and noticed he didn't pay me for the 1,020 pounds of steel. So back to McCoys to get that. They are good about it and he said that's the green truck I've been looking for.

Nope, no AC yet. I did get a call and a voicemail when I was clocking out today. He said it should be delivered Monday and he can install it Monday ( depending on what time it’s delivered ) or on Tuesday.
I plan on coming down to Poplar Bluff on Tuesday to at least cut the grass and burn the wood pile behind the house.

Well the rat snake is no more. He was visiting last night, making himself at home in one of the nests when I went out to put the girls to bed. He must have slithered right in the front door. I got him locked in the coop, hubs & visiting son took care of the rest. Hated doing that, but we got tired of messing with him & too many days till rehoming was an option. He was 6’ long.

We got about 1 1/2” rain altogether. No hail, no wind damage. Just blew a little rain in the open windows.
