calling any one from missouri

I am bummed. Not one of my eggs I ordered hatched. I candled them and it appears I got zippo out of 19 eggs. I have no idea what happened. Temperature and humidity were fine the whole time. I am frustrated to say the least. I knew I was taking a risk ordering them through the mail but I hoped that I would at least get SOME to hatch. The only thing I can assume is that the mail shook them too much. No Christmas babies for my house.

so sorry about the eggs. Usually, if I order eggs within the state they arrive safely and hatch very well. It is from the east coast that I have tons of problems. They come packaged very well but the post office seems to have "fun" with the boxes

Our local post office people are always upset over the damaged boxes as the local gals handle them with great care. It is a risk. I have complainded too, on how long it takes the mail within our own state. Crazy Don't give up though.

I think I can get silkies locally in the spring, we just wanted to hatch some out. You know, something fun to do in the winter.
As for the bantam phoenix, those are difficult to find and my son REALLY wants some of those. I knew it was a risk, but really, not a one hatched? I am really tempted to drive to Joplin to ensure they are safe. Of course I can't guarantee fertility.

Anyone know someone with bantam phoenix?

It was difficult to admit defeat and unplug the bator.
