Just bought a heated waterer today. along with a new large hanging feeder. Girlfriend gave me a look like i had lost my mind when i told her how much it all cost. Then abruptly shut me down when i started looking at incubators.

Chicken supplies are expensive. I bought a new heater and water too this year due to a second chicken house being added this year!
I have plans of building another one this year for different breeds! It is addictive!

This cold weather has my hens acting crazy LOL! Instead of making built in nestboxes in my new coop, I built a shelf and put a variety of things for them to nest in. They have a milk crate and 2 pet taxis that they have really liked up until the last week or so. Where have I been finding the eggs? In a bag half full of shavings! Yep 5 eggs yesterday there. I had to fold down the edges so they won't get stuck in there! All I can figure out is that since we have snow on the ground (I even shoveled the run out for them) they are all hanging out in the coop. I guess the hens needed more privacy!
I've had to put my EE cockeral in his place a few times. He is testing his ground with me. He has flogged me a few times. The first time I picked him up and put him in the bachloer pad where they beat the dickens out of him. So I came to his rescue and he liked me again for about a month. He did it again this week. When I picked him up he started shaking like crazy haha. I guess he thought I would put him in with the boys again. I didn't but hopefully I put the fear in him.
Did I mention, I Hate Missouri Winters???

The Kefir wasnt bad, It sorta has the taste of plain yogurt but just not as thick! After drinking a small glass I decided to make Protein shakes with it and it was good that way (Reasoning to use In Protein shake is i use Plain unflavored Yougurt in mine and I just replacded it with Kefir) Gonna try it with some blueberries in it next time and make blueberry flavored smoothie or Protein shake! The Chickens really loved their first taste of It I gave them about a pint or so in a bowl and it took them about 5 to 10 minutes before they would try it but after the first one started and started her purring while eating that was all it took and it was storm the dish Their good stuff theere

The Kombucha Tea was really good, When I drank my first glass it went down quick and easy and I wanted a second glass but I figured since it was first time use moderation until I knew what effects it would have

Thanks for the standard buff Cochin information but I'm looking for brown reds or golden laced and as large as I can find.

It is really hard to find those colors in a LF cochin. that aren't hatchery. contact cochins international. hatchery cochins aren't worth pumping the 11 months of feed into before you get the first egg and aren't half as big as a show bred bird.
