Good morning everyone, another new guy from MO. I live in Jefferson County about 30 mi south of St. Louis. I re-started chickens again this year and have 47 birds of different varieties, mostly RIR and Barred Rock, I'm in it for the eggs. This spring I will add on and go for some duel purpose birds and see if we cant put some meat in the freezer. I've been on this site for about a week or so and already ran into another BYCer, saw her magnet on her truck and had to say Hi, so Hi again to Muddyhorse and thanks for pointing me to this thread.

hey Jarheadred nice meeting you the other day. I was up till 2 with a colic horse. I gave him banamine, we finally got some poo and gas but he still wouldn't eat. he went from zero gut sounds to three quadrants. I haven't heard yet how he is this morning so everybody send Frisky some good vibes.

Decided to put 3 of my girls' eggs in the bator to see if its my bator or the eggs. We did crack open all the eggs and not one showed any kind of development. That is puzzling.

Thanks for the craigslist ad. I am calling the number tonight.

Doesn't take much to get a chicken person excited. Thanks to Ruthless, we are headed to Pleasant Hill tomorrow morning to look at bantam phoenix chicks. My son will take his official poultry book to make sure they are up to standard but sounds like we will have Christmas babies after all.

I will post pics when we get them. I love BYCers. Thanks.

Now to find some silkies and I MIGHT be satisfied for the winter.

That temporary chicken tractor may be a permanent thing on my property.
