We had 3 minutes of rain this morning. Not enough, but at least it cooled off the morning.

Teenage chicken mating behavior is so awkward. I've got two bantam cochin boys who understand that they should grab onto the head, but they approach it facing the wrong direction. Poor pullets. Since they were never the breed I wanted for a bantam rooster and I do have a bantam cockerel with a great disposition, I suppose these guys are going to be tiny chicken dinners.

Save some seeds from it.

Darn I already got rid of them. (Fed the seeds to the chickens.) Hopefully the next one will be just as good and I’ll think to save the seeds!

You just have to wash them off and let them dry on a paper towel and they should be good to go.
