Not sure if you are interested in ordering still but just checked Estes in Springfield and the next shipping date is the 21st. You might get on line and see if they have what you wanted. That is where I got my chicks this past week and last year my RIR's. Just a thought if you are still interested.

I am very upset with myself! Yesterday when I went out to feed like usual I let the ducks out of their pen so they can roam around a bit. I forgot to put them back up. They were out all night. When I went down to feed of course the ducks were gone! I found one dead on the neighbors property and never found the other!
I am so sick to my stomach!

I cant believe I did this. I was distracted and completely forgot to put them back up.

I have forgotten about my free-ranging chickens more than once. I am so sorry. I know there is nothing that can comfort you for losing them. But don't feel guilty - I have forgotten more than a few times. You never know the other might show up. I had one of my Bantams show up a day later.​

They have hatching dates on Wednesdays, so they won't be sending them out till that day IF they have them. You should be notified as to what day they will ship them out. If not you can either call them OR if you send me the information as to what all you ordered and your name and anything else you think they might want, I will call them and then email you directly IF you want. I am only about 25 miles from them.

Davony's- SO sorry about the ducks. I think we have all forgotten at one time or another.

I did check Cackle but they do not have the ones we wanted. We want the more rare birds I guess. I checked Estes, MyPetChicken, Cackle and McMurray.

Teddi- What's your husband's beef with bantams? That seems to be the way we are leaning. Had dinner at my parents' last night and took 2 dozen bantam deviled eggs. They were quite the hit.
My son Nick put the Porcelain D'Uccles together in hopes we could get some fertile eggs. Of course we have no idea if she has been laying so we will see. We might do the same for the Mille Fleurs too. I WILL GET BABIES SOMEHOW!

Thank you all for your kind words. It is just hard to think that I could have prevented this. I went out again today hoping Spencer my drake would be back waiting but he of course wasn't.
