I am reducing my flock to Australorp and Brahma. If you want my Buckeyes and Silver Penciled Wyandottes (from Urch April 8, 2013) let me know by private message. I have three buckeye pullets, two buckeye cockerels, four SPW pullets and two SPW cockerels. Shipping costs are too expensive so it will be pick-up only.

I do want the dorking for their table qualities. I'd love the bresse, but they're too pricey as I probably won't be breeding, just wanting some straight run chicks.

Arielle (prob not spelling it right - sorry quick dash with tub running) that auctions off turkey eggs frequently on the crazy 24 hour auction and BIN threads has a friend that raises Dorkings as meat birds. Might PM her and see if she can put you in touch with them. Would be shipping involved tho. If your just looking to raise to chow on, dunno if Cackle in Lebanon carries them but thier stock isn't bad for hatchery. Always franken-chickens - CornishX's

Really, pretty much any breeder stock if you aren't going to at least breed replacements (eat dah boys) are gonna be kinda pricey for dinner. Think Dorkings are even on an endangered list for rare.

I have 10 Cornish X's from Cackle now. Those are the dumbest **** animals I've ever seen. I won't know if it'll be worth the hassle of them until I eat one lol. I've wanted Dorkings for a while just to try them.

My computer died about a month ago and hubby isn't able to recover any data from it (chick pix plus coop building in-process, data table on chickens, etc all gone

). I was wondering about getting some of the photos off of BYC. Can they save onto my computer like the original (4x6) or are they like the square shape shown in my thumbnails? I guess I should just try it and see. I am still hoping hubby will be able to eventually get info off the old harddrive (they say they can still get pictures off of camera cards even after the card has been reformatted so why not my harddrive?).

Thanks. I think I've gotten them all off BYC now. The chick and adult photos that were uploaded over the past year are now back on my computer. I just didn't upload every picture I ever took but at least it's not a total loss.

What kind of rooster? Are you selling him there? That would be a cool show to go to... But I can't this year.
