I found this in the first article I downloaded:

Leftover inoculated seed should not be eaten or fed to animals
Yep. We had that message written on our soy bean seed. Not for human or animal consumption.

Gotta love that GMO insecticide, fertilizer, mold resistant seed. NOT

Just wondering. Is it possible to get uninoculated pasture seed? That is usually a mix of grasses and I think clovers.

if I am planting a legume I want it inoculated, I would keep my chickens in the pen until it sprouts, there is no ability to put nitrogen in the soil without inoculation (unless the bacteria necessary is in your soil) That is an opinion from piecing together a little reading, I might be wrong.

Hummert's international has a great variety of seed and I think they have stores in KC, Springfield and one close to my house in St. L.
It's mostly for wholesale but do retail as well.
I bought all my poultry pasture seed there.

Their catalog also tells if a seed is GMO or not. The trick is getting the right catalog. They have some for bedding plants, equipment, seed, etc..

IMHO, it will still fix nitrogen but much better if inoculated.
