Get ready to rinse some wheat and start some folder for the clan. I love to try new things. It will get them greens in the winter and cut my feed bill. It's a win win!

Crap! Oh well a few will have to stay because I am madly in love with them. I still havethat one is actually a hen, but from the pics on the forum I am getting mostly roo responses!![]()
Happy to see folks from Mo.
welcome to the MO thread, glad you joined BYCI live on a little over 2.5 acres in Cass County, just about 20 minutes south of the southern edge of Kansas City, (Raymore/Peculiar). I have one French Blue Copper Marans rooster and several gardens full of goodies for both myself and the chickens.

Last year spring 6 out of 14 babies were roo's yes we were in love, but we did rehome 2. The other 4 all live together. Purchased more babies in the fall from Orchlen's I have been 100% with them 10 of 10 being hens. 4-RIR, 4-Plymouths, 2-Orpingtons. It isn't cheap feeding 4 roosters, but they do get along with each other. The Polish is the alpha and that is funny since we do have a Jersey Giant rooster! We are entering our 3 year with chickens, they are 4-H projects, and the eggs are awesome! I like the RIR I like the quality and quantity of egg, and we are going to try and get show quality birds this spring.HELLO ALL,
