Does anyone know of a source for Buff Orpingtons in mid-Missouri?

Check the swaps on Facebook, I'm sure you can find them there too. There's a lady in Edgar Springs that was going to set some last week I think.

I posted these pictures on the Weird Egg post, wanted to share with my Missouri friends. We have a hen who lays these weird eggs, never cracked one, only find when hard boiled. The last one was all yolk with a spot of white in the center, this one is yolk on the outside, small amount of white and a formed yolk on the inside?







Photo on the right shows the solid yolk on the outside.

Are you wanting for show or production? I got two last year from Orschlen's They are common at feed stores and tractor supply.

craigslist. everybody has buff orpingtons. i did a quick search in the joplin craigslist since i am in southwest missouri and found quit a few , even some lavender orpingtons just down the road from me!

Eggs. We have Golden Comets that we bought at Tractor Supply last year and are very happy with them. I think the Buff Orpingtons are pretty and, from what I have read,they are good layers and pretty nice girls. We are new to the whole world of chickens and are loving them is we wanted to try another breed.mi will check with Orscheln's and see if they have any. Many thanks!
