Crookedchicken, love your broom solution.

Sue nice that they are working in your garden. This summer I need to get mine fenced better so I feel OK about letting them into the raised beds.
oh wow, you've got raised beds! My garden is kind of haphazard. Not kind of, extremely. Now that I'm letting chickens free range again, I'll have to put cages around all the young plants. We've been on again off again w free range. Who knows where we'll be come planting time. Nothing is sure in chickens or in life.....

We need rain. We have ice but not a huge amount. they said it would continue through noon or so. Not looking forward to the drive to work this am, will definitely leave early. Everyone stay safe in the ice.

Sue part of it is raised beds. My soil is awful and wouldn't grow much except weeds so the beds have lots of carted in soil and compost. Will have to add more this year, it seems to seep out. Have 4 4x8 raised beds and the rest is also rather haphazard. I put makeshift fences around each in an attempt to keep one of my dogs out--she eats all my veggies.

Would love to have some plan to my gardens that aren't raised but it hasn't worked that way as some things will grow, some won't and the dogs seem to lie to dig up certain plants.

Hey all I'm new on the forum, but a lifetime poultry owner. In the last few years I've ventures into bobwhite quail and ringneck pheasants for personal use. I now have my Missouri class I wildlife breeders license and am going to expand my two gamebirds flocks and start selling them. I would very much rather prefer selling them at auctions. Does anyone have any info on how consumers like to purchase at auctions it how birds must be consigned a particular way at certain auctions maybe? And what I mean by this is do you bring several lots of multiple birds and auction off each lot, or bring all birds and buyers buy as many as they like? I also eventually plan on expanding and taking my turkey and show cocks to auction as well, but that will be another chapter as my quail and pheasants are my main focus right now. Any Info hints tips and tricks about the auctions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance y'all!
