calling any one from missouri

Yes you just show up, it's free. I wouldn't just give him away, ask something. I sold my unwanted cockerels for $5 and $7 after offering them here on BYC for free.
Post a pic of him ---what color is he?
Should be blue fawn.

This was about 3 weeks ago. But he pretty much looks the same.

One more question. . :)
Do I have to have a cage for him to be sold in or do people bring their own? I haven't had to do the swap meets yet. The ones I've sold so far my friend took for me and it was an auction type thing and we had to have something for them to be sold in.

People bring their own cages, boxes etc. Some buyers are carrying out chickens by their feet. This is a mish mash of all kinds of people, all kinds of poultry, it's quite an experience. I saw Mennonites, Amish, Hispanics, Asians, old farmers in overalls, city people w kids.....There are fancy breeds carefully displayed, and also poultry in poor condition in crowded crates on the ground. There are people selling hatching eggs and chicks, rabbits, puppies. Wear your farm shoes as it is held in a field not always well mowed. I clean off my shoes w white vinegar after going here or to see poultry at any fair etc. I suggest you use the bathroom elsewhere before you get there.
here are some pics I took there a couple yrs ago. It's an adventure worth experiencing.

Very good tip about washing shoes. . I probably wouldn't have thought of that . ya that would be a good way to bring disease home to your birds I imagine! Sounds like fun. I might go check it out even if I do find a home for him in the meantime. :)

Some pics from my neck of the woods... Dots and Spots came by to visit (actually they're still in the front yard helping me with the lawn care right now) ... and I snapped a picture of Mr. Blue on his way out of the house while I was out saying Hi to the twins.

... I wanna see a chicken with a birthday hat on. :D

Yeah, c'mon this is the show me state! ;)

Never thought about celebrating chickens birthday, but look out April 19th next year... I can see a pinata filled with crickets & meal worm cupcakes in our future... or maybe not ... I don't see my wife going for any of that.. so maybe just a cold one for me and crickets for the chooks like JT, is the way to go.
