Very good tip about washing shoes. . I probably wouldn't have thought of that . ya that would be a good way to bring disease home to your birds I imagine! Sounds like fun. I might go check it out even if I do find a home for him in the meantime.People bring their own cages, boxes etc. Some buyers are carrying out chickens by their feet. This is a mish mash of all kinds of people, all kinds of poultry, it's quite an experience. I saw Mennonites, Amish, Hispanics, Asians, old farmers in overalls, city people w kids.....There are fancy breeds carefully displayed, and also poultry in poor condition in crowded crates on the ground. There are people selling hatching eggs and chicks, rabbits, puppies. Wear your farm shoes as it is held in a field not always well mowed. I clean off my shoes w white vinegar after going here or to see poultry at any fair etc. I suggest you use the bathroom elsewhere before you get there.
here are some pics I took there a couple yrs ago. It's an adventure worth experiencing.

WOW! What great pics! Some pics from my neck of the woods... Dots and Spots came by to visit (actually they're still in the front yard helping me with the lawn care right now) ... and I snapped a picture of Mr. Blue on his way out of the house while I was out saying Hi to the twins.

And you didn't take any pictures to share? I wanna see a chicken with a birthday hat on.We had a birthday party for the hens yesterday, lots of crickets and fun and a cold one for me. Been a long ride getting this far with that first big mistake on the first group.
