calling any one from missouri

Just noticed I got sunburned today...:hmm

Also here are some daffodil pics from here... the early ones are about spent but the mid and late ones were looking pretty good today... although it’s raining now... so they might be getting beat down ...

We have forsythia bushes, wild violets, as well as peach trees and wild serviceberry trees in the woods, all in bloom at the moment... won’t be long before the redbuds and dogwoods pop!

Pretty!
I noticed the starlings plucking the heads off of mine the other day! :rant

 That’s a thing! I didn’t know starling did that...

luckily we don’t get starlings out in the sticks.
I didn't know they did that either until I saw it! Here I was blaming the poor ducks for it.
We have hundreds of them in town! I hate them. They eat my ducks food and fight the purple Martins for their house. :he
Total pita.

I'm in love with this weather!! If it could stay around this I would be in heaven! The cold weather over winter is hard for this California girl .

Ah ha! Now we know who the culprit is ;)

Can we just keep it below 80 degrees until May 20th or so... that cold weather might be tough on a California girl, but too hot, too quick makes it hard for this Ozark boy to get his spring chores done!

Also we need a little cooler weather to get the fall planted grass seed established before June comes along and beats on it!

Anyone see hummingbirds yet?

We usually see the first one about March 25… But so far we haven’t seen one this year... the feeder just looks so lonely!

Hoping the Hummers didn’t make a wrong turn at Albuquerque this year!

I have not seen one.. But I haven't put out my feeder yet. Maybe I should!

Okay so here’s the scoop on the hummingbirds, apparently they’ve been spotted in northern Arkansas and Tennessee... so yep you better get the feeder ready!

Also I’m sitting on the swing in the yard listening to the first whippoorwill of the year! ... well first, second, third and maybe fourth... I think they carpooled!

And I spotted this in the yard today... might be hard to see but the one with the yellow spot has 4 leafs.
