Here are 10000 balloons to celebrate 10000 posts!

Does anyone know what that first bloom is? It came up volunteer in my flower pot by my dog pen. It looks just like I planted it there! The blooms open when the sun hits it and close when it gets shady.

I was trying to ID something else I saw yesterday and ran across your mystery flower.

It looks to be Flower-of-an-Hour (Hibiscus trionum)

Well lost my internet yesterday so could not post this till this morning...

The Shaws left here a bit ago heading east, we had a good time showing them around. When we got to the ballista well that's another story... turns out Mr Shaw is a metal working man so we had a lot in common.

:frow it was very nice meeting you and the Mrs. JT
You are correct, chicken fort knox is really something to see :)
I'm pretty sure the hubby dreamed about having a play day in your shop last night. :lau
Today we will hopefully get to Nashville TN and see some sights.:p

Well today is the Summer Solstice...

JT

That would explain why I’m so tired, lol

I was outside the last couple of nights working till dark... and it occurred to me last night at about 10:30 when the north sky was still pretty light that the days were too long to be letting the sun call quitting time!

But it hadn’t occurred to me that this was the actual solstice... where’d the month go?

Good morning everyone...I am in Florida w my Mom, brother, and sister. Hot and muggy and tropical-ish here. I flew out of Springfield yesterday. Plane was an hour late, but I made my connection just barely. I am not used to mobs of people!
There are swans and ducks, geese, etc. on the lake here, I am looking forward to photographing them ....
