Yes they do. And also those little green flies that bite.I noticed a couple of buzzy things in your pic...
Do the honey bees work your milkweed a lot?
The flies may be because of the euoynmus bush that is near there. It is in bloom and they are pollinated by flies. I did not know this when I planted it.
You don't wanna hit that thing with the mower when you go by this time of year. Terrible!
It's just the plain green one. It's a beautiful bush. .as long as I keep it trimmed. It grows like crazy.Uh oh... which kinda euoynmus? I have a few of the gold ones we planted not long ago, but they’re still pretty small.
Geez, woke up to finding septoria leaf spot on two of the raised beds and spotted another tobacco hornworm, but that was the only one I found and it was a big one. I sprayed the plants with some chlorothalonil, hope that stops it.
Found this page the Missouri Botanical Garden this morning with some good info.

Weird my 16 tomato plants on the deck (which are doing squat for tomatoes) look pristine and no bugs... also only 4 tomatoes have started.
An interesting thing I saw on the MBG page is to not water them from above, which I had done until switching to a soaker hose a couple of weeks back after a buddy told me it's bad to water them from above.
