calling any one from missouri

Charging the batteries for the better camera so I hope to get some more photos of the Wren babies that are less fuzzy. Too bad human babies are not that well behaved... the birds stay super still when momma is gone.

Holding my flashlight so I could at least see the fuzzy little Larry, Curly and Moe. I can just barely make out which one is Curly...

Okay... that sounds better!

Here's how it works, we will be watching TV and she says "I would like to go there", I say "hmm, I've never been there... when can you get vacation time to go?" Wife still works full time but is making noise about retiring after she gets her cataracts fixed. Speaking of cataracts @SueT any tips from someone that has been there an done that?

They are really good at fixing cataracts......there was no discomfort, and healing was fast. She will be guided thru each step and have new eyes in the end! They told me I have 20/20 in each eye so no more distance glasses. I still need reading glasses tho.

I looked up the hornworm moths and it says they are the same ones we call 'hummingbird moths.' I've seen those when visiting my sister. I don't think she knows about the hornworm aspect.....she's an avid gardener.

Sounds like you’re livin right!... my wife would drag me all over the world if she could, lol

It’s probably a good time to go, with kids going back to school and all might not be too crowded.

The only place I want to travel to is Oregon to see our kids/grandkids! I'll be going around Halloween. Cheap time to travel. DH is going out there next month to repair our daughter's chimney.

PS @jthornton --re cataract surgery, another thing I thought of to tell her is to plan to take it easy for a week following each eye. You won't feel like taking it easy, but avoid leaning over, no heavy lifting, no over exerting. No water in your face, avoid dust, smoke, sprays etc. They'll instruct her in all that. DH cleaned the chicken coop for me, carried things etc. He pulled clothes out of the washer so I didn't lean over. I began using safety glasses a lot at home, for housework, cooking, and outdoor chores. The week passes quickly.
