Jenny, I got another bottle goat Friday! She was born in the middle of all the storms and rain. She was one of quads, the littlest one didn't make it and she is only 2 1/2 pounds. The momma nor the owner could take care of her, so I spent the weekend keeping her going. She ate fine Friday and Saturday it was like she didn't know anything. She wouldn't even suck or swallow, so Des and I had to dropper feed her. She woke up yesterday and is now eating, drinking, getting around and everything. It was like she took Saturday off! I have her sleeping in my office right now! She is absolutely adorable and a little sweetheart!

My children are grown, I am too old for this newborn stuff! But, now Bella will have a playmate and hubby actually approved this time! We named her Bailey.

Nothing special, they just call it that. Used to be that they held all their auctions on Sundays and the "Special" ones were so the Amish residents could attend the sale, then they decided to do Saturday sales and still call the extra sales "Special".

Hey Fudgie,
One of the llittle buckeye's didn't make it.

And the other extra buckeye, looks like the others in color but has feathers on feet and the wings are alittle different they seem to be going away from the body. It looks really cool.

Crud, on the one that did not make it! URGH! Maybe you got one of my silkie babies on the buckeyes....I did have 2 hatch with that bunch! Was that one of the "extra"ones I threw in that we thought was getting trampled! If so COOL BEANS for you! Honestly, I would rather him have a fighting chance at your house than in this box of too many chicks getting stomped. We separated them into 4 containers instead of only 2 containers last night and that helped out a bunch. They just grow and outgrow their environment so quickly. I keep making extra pens for the smaller ones so they DONT get squished and can get good feed and water.
