So it is juniper! not cedar then. No, not making gin here. Have you made it?Looks like honey locust at first glance.
Nice juniper berries. Are you going to make gin?

My last Black Penedesenca hen quite laying this summer. I don't know if she will start back up next Summer or not. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a fabulous New Year!It has really been a wild ride. 10F at the beginning of November and then a warm up. 7 inches of snow last week and almost all of it is gone but still wet out there. 60+ for a couple days and fairly mild but a weekend of rain coming. I'm not telling most of you anything you don't already know.
Merry Christmas.
Do you still have Black Penedesencas?
Did you know that those blue berries are edible? That was what an outdoorsman that I worked with last year told me.It is warm enough to take long walks. Here's an interesting tree, a type of Locust...(black locust or honey locust maybe?) with a coat of formidable thorns.
And there are lovely blue berries on the red cedar trees.

Our favorite!
However, in the spirit of Christmas I feel like I should come clean. I lied to you before.
Orange is not "technically" my favorite color.
My favorite color is actually green.
I do prefer orange and yellow for flowers. Never been a red rose kinda gal.
And I do have a lot of orange things. . and I like it. . but it's not my absolute favorite.
So. . I have decided to give your color back to you and I take back the double tap you did not deserve.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
