I think there is just a ton of people that decided to take advantage of the extra time at home due to corona and get chickens. That's my thought anyway. It is part of the way I got my husband to finally get on board(I'd been wanting to get chickens for a long time). He was bored staying home and likes to build stuff. So, I've gotten new steps to our currently unfinished basement, a chicken coop, custom dog bowls, an outdoor fire ring with an outdoor buffet/table, a swing, and very rustic benches for around the fire out of him being stuck at home.I just noticed that Cackle Hatchery all the baby chicks are temporarily out of stock... wonder what's up with that???

Anyone on here good at telling if cochins are roosters or hens? I have one that is larger than everyone else, brighter and larger comb but not crowing at all so I keep thinking hen, but just not sure. I took a bunch of pictures today trying to get several angles with the other cochins I'm almost certain are hens.

I have found big box stores like Home Depot out of it, but ranch stores like Orscheln's have quite a lot of fencing in stock. Maybe TSC as well.I noticed that welded wire fencing is out of stock here, anyone else have that problem? I'm looking for some 1" x 1" welded wire fencing for the new run.
