Not quite as cold here in the Southern Region of Missouri only 49°F this morning.

Well I have 11 of the 12 Cinnamon Queens back together after having 3 in the chicken clink and only allowing Miss Behaving out of her cage by herself. She now has the run of the chicken clink. I've not seen any feather pulling from the 11 soon to be hens... so we'll see.

Miss Behaving was pulling chest feathers from Blondie through the cage if she got close enough... I put some hardware cloth on the cage to stop that. Blondie sure looks rough ☹️

I have some cinnamon queens. They aren’t the friendliest girls. They were my first to lay though.

So far I have 1 brown egg chick, 2 green egg external pips & no noticeable activity on the other brown egg. Does mama take care of all the birthing help, or do I need to be ready to assist?

It’s cold here too, 40 degrees atm.
Mama hen will abandon an egg that doesn’t hatch, at some point. A lot of people advocate not helping. If the egg can’t hatch on its own, the chick may have a problem.
I took an abandoned egg from the nest after my hen left with her earlier chicks. ( I had given her this egg 2 days after she started sitting so it was my fault.). It was peeping, but she wouldn’t sit on it. So I brought it inside and hatched it overnight on a heating pad. She would NOT accept this chick, I had to raise it myself. it turned out to be a male.
Anyway, good luck, we’d like to see pics after they all are hatched!
