5 each of Lakenvelder, silkie, turken, and Columbian Rock from Cackle. I trying out a lot of different breeds to see what they alike and how they handle our weather.

Oooh sounds wonderful! I wasn’t familiar with Lakenvelder. How pretty they are! I may have to get some too!

The trip went well! Cackle messed up my order by giving me 6 silkies instead of 5, and 5 turken instead of 6. Not a huge deal, but one silkie has cross beak, and I tried to return it, but Cackle just gave me another. I hope it does ok on its own, I don’t have the time in my day to hand feed it.

Now I’m trying hard to be patient while my order from Murray McMurray arrives. It’s in Kansas City from the update this morning… 3 hours away!

I live in the Columbia area. I have 16 coming from McMurray. They are all straight run, so I should have roughly 25 chickens after the summer is over.

Hey @jthornton I repourpoused my winter duck pond cover into a garden bed to plant wheat seed in so the dux can eat the sprouts kinda like what you do. They will love it if it grows!
I don't think I got enough Dirt in it though. The sprouts will have to get fairly tall before they can reach it. I'll see how it goes I may have to add more.

I’ve got 6, 1 month old mix ducklings looking for their new pond. 5 are females and 1 is a male. My wish is for everyone to go together or at least the females if no one is wanting a male. $30 for all 6 or $25 if just taking the 4 females (that’s $5 apiece) Im located in Gray summit, labadie area. If you want them you must come pick them up as I’m unable to drive. In the picture they are 3 weeks old. I can get updated pictures tomorrow.
