I made a couple of ant blockers for the hummingbird feeders from some copper sheet I had laying around. I made one from a plastic service entrance cover but didn't take a photo of it.

What's the goop inside the blocker? I always just used the store bought ant moats and filled with water.

My tiger lilies bloomed pretty good this year! They have been bloomed for several days now so they are a little faded.

Have ya'll ever saw marigolds grow this stinkin tall?! I was about to decide it was a weed and jerk em up but alas.. i see a bloom beginning.
I do not like it. I like my marigolds short and bushy. I didn't even know there were varieties that got this tall.

Beautiful! My lilies didn't bloom this year due to drought and heat. Hope they do better next year.

It did look green! I thought it looked like icy hot..or aloe vera gel and i thought to myself hmmm...

That is a wise idear! I have used vaseline on my shepherd hooks or on the hanger for the feeder to keep ants off. Never thought about putting it in the moat. Keeping water in them this time of year is a full time job.
