What's the goop inside the blocker? I always just used the store bought ant moats and filled with water.I made a couple of ant blockers for the hummingbird feeders from some copper sheet I had laying around. I made one from a plastic service entrance cover but didn't take a photo of it.

Beautiful! My lilies didn't bloom this year due to drought and heat. Hope they do better next year.@OhZark Biddies

It did look green! I thought it looked like icy hot..or aloe vera gel and i thought to myself hmmm...Water... now you have me wondering why it's green in the photo.

That is a wise idear! I have used vaseline on my shepherd hooks or on the hanger for the feeder to keep ants off. Never thought about putting it in the moat. Keeping water in them this time of year is a full time job.I fill mine with petroleum jelly.
