Well, it didn't work out. No wood for me after all. I had to file a report/complaint on the person I ordered from. I may or may not be out $250. Long story, I'll tell it later.

We got 1/2” of rain, thunderstorms overnight. It looks like many areas not far from here got up to 4”. I think there’s more to come.

Looks like a good chance for rain every day for the next few days here. Temps 60-80°F I'll take it.

I need to test the heater in our new central unit before it gets really cold. When the A coil sprang a leak a few weeks ago we just missed the 100°F + weather so a window unit (very noisy) kept us coolish until the new system was installed 9 days later. We lucked out the AC guy had bought a trailer load of heater/air handlers that had dents in the sheet metal cheap. The gas heater is 80% efficient so stingy on propane. The supplier was out of 3.5 ton 14 SEER compressor units so they subbed a 16 SEER compressor unit. So we just got lucky after 26 years the Trane finally fell off the tracks and was replaced with a Bryant by Carrier.

Yes, I did. Lesson learned. For a full cord. Delivery was to take place that evening. Half an hour later I am informed there is a "small problem." Delivery cannot take place that evening unless I order (and pay in advance for) a SECOND cord. I say no, refund my money and cancel my order. Can't do, I'm told, I have to request a refund from PayP*l. I'm not familiar w PP so when I try, I find out that funds paid through Friends and Family (which she had me do) are NOT protected. I tell her I can't request a refund so she tells me to try Cancel. That's not an option either and I tell her that. She tries negotiating and lowering her price. The problem, she says, is the price of gas is so high. She says if I will send her $150 she will deliver two cords immediately. I say if she delivers immediately I will give her the $150 in cash, but I'm not sending money through PP again. She says can't do. I say no deal. So I go to PP and file a report, also call them and tell them I think she's fraudulent bc she's selling a product through Friends and Family rather than through Goods and Services (my money would be protected if I'd paid through G&S). PP opens an investigation. I also call my credit card co and tell them this charge is in dispute, and why. They also open an investigation. She may get shut down. She is in Campbell, MO. Don't do business with her. My credit card probably won't get charged. This has been a learning experience for sure. I still need wood but found out we have a family member who sells it so I'm okay. Was still very stressful.
