calling any one from missouri

Got a better pic of our little cockerel. His Spitzhauben father, Jude, was a singleton chick as well. He was raised in the big flock and got along with his father. Kind of like an understudy. When the father was killed by a raccoon, Jude seamlessly took over the flock at age 1.
If this chick continues to get along with the bantam rooster in the little flock, he can stay. The rooster, Robin Hood, is not in any way aggressive twd him, but the hen that is not his mom, is a bit mean to him. That said, cockerels need some discipline in order to learn their place and grow up to be good roosters.

What a fun day, woke up this morning and discovered a bit of water in the equipment room... after 26 years the water heater had started to leak. Started at 8am this morning and now it's 5pm and just waiting for the water to heat up... what a long day. I can say for sure if this one lasts 20 years someone else will change it out. I'd take a photo but no phone yet...

Oh gosh. Well it lasted a long time. We have an old one too. They say if you regularly change out the anode rod, it will last longer, but we found that the rod has been corroded in place for too long and can't be budged.

Hello everyone. I live in Missouri. I’m reaching out to see if anyone is interested in purchasing a rooster. Unfortunately I can’t keep him anymore. I don’t know his exact breed or age. He’s definitely older than a year. His name is Bean. If anyone is interested, please let me know. 🙏
