All I can say is WOW!
I had seen a report of HPAI outbreaks in SW MO.
Mercy! Are they going to burn or bury these birds, did thry say?
Normally they compost these birds in place.
When cattle die en masse, they usually use a bobcat or other earthmoving equipment and push them into rows, covering with straw and soil, composting them in large windrows.

Here we go again!

That's a lot more than I got. I have barely an inch even on elevated surfaces. During the last storm a couple weeks ago I had over 6 inches that stayed here well over a week. I'm glad I won't have limited mobility too long even though it will be at least a week before any warmer weather.
I always enjoyed winter weather, especially snow. Many years with multiple flocks of chickens tempered that enthusiasm.

25°F here this morning and we have flood watch for tonight through Saturday night.

It was 20 here but now approaching 30. Mid 30s today but sunny and calm so pretty comfortable.
A warm rainy day tomorrow, a cold week with a couple days of snow next week. Three nights near zero or below next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Hopefully a warmup after that. After all, it is February in Missouri.
