calling any one from missouri

And how do you keep your chickens out of your garden?
Our flock doesn’t bother the garden when they free range. It’s surrounded by 5’ high corral panels, but the mesh fencing around that is only 2’ high. They’ve never tried to hop over it or fly over the 5’ rails. Once this winter, I left the gate open and a bunch of them wandered into the dormant garden. I went in and shooed them out, but our less than sharp Spitzhauben hen saw them —on the outside of the fence—and tried to follow them from the inside, now going away from the gate. She never tried to go up over the 2’ mesh. It was hard enuf to get her to go south to the gate when the others were heading north. September photo, everything was dying. IMG_7961.jpeg

Yes, high winds, possible large hail and maybe even a tornado down around our counties, Carter, Reynolds, Butler area. Be careful, y'all! This will be during the night so be sure you can get alerts and if you live in a modular or mobile with no basement, maybe go stay with a relative or other safe place for the night. Come stay with me, we have a full basement ... but you may have to put up with my BIL and SIL and their bratty dogs. 🤣

Everyone, batten down the hatches. I'm shutting everything down hoping I don't lose power butt I am cooking dinner early and making sure my phone is charged.
The lights have been flickering for an hour.
It is supposed to be moving through fast but it is about 80 miles away from me now.
Looks like it will be here by 110.
