calling any one from missouri

I am so sorry for your loss! That is horrifying. It happened to my neighbor. The neighborhood dogs hit him all last summer. He actually shot 2 on his property on different nights when he heard them out there. They finally got all of his birds, it looked like a bloody battlefield in his coops! They have never gotten into mine and I am not sure why. I have my runs covered but anything can be broken into by a pack of dogs.

I hope your neighbor makes good on their word.

Last week we got about 6-7 inches, some of that melted off then we got another 2 inches on Friday, Then last night we got about 7-8 inches. we are north of Columia in the Moberly area.

Oh My!

Yes it was very wierd. We were in Columbia that night and were leaving Columbia at 3am where they were getting very light snow flurries. The further north we got it just got worse and worse. The trip took us 1 1/2 hours that normally takes 30-40 minutes! When we got to Moberly it was much worse and as we passed Cairo it was like we stepped into another world! It snowed here all night until Sunday morning.

So I am wondering if any of you have done some chicken rescuing in MO?
I know the Humane Society has birds at their place in Union, but I was thinking more about a battery hen or mass production farm.

Any info would be appreciated!

Didn't know there was any such thing like a chicken rescue program. I have never heard of it but why can't there be. There are other animal rescue programs. If you hear of anything let me know. I am in the southwest corner of the state and have the time and space for more chickens.
