I bought eggs from Lynne at WingShadow Hacienda in California. I got all cochin bantams of mille fleur, black barred, buff and buff barred plus a few of my mottled cochins.

I just got a package in the mail from Lynne, She sent me some eggs because she is just a sweet, sweet lady! I just opened a package of 12 eggs that had 8 mille fleur, and 4 buff barred eggs! yeah!

That's great! I've got quite a few new babies also.

Did everyone make it through the storms ok last night? It got pretty rough here but no damage. Just a little east of us had a lot of damage though....roofs blown off, trees down ect. Im amazed that we didn't lose power. Usually its the first to go out in our area!

I guess we got lucky lately with the storms. We have not had anthing serious which unusual for us.

storms missed us, too, thank God. We went to Mountain Grove last night (had tickets for A Taste of Home show) and it had rained heavily and had some hail just before we got into town so we stayed behind it. Hope everyone else is ok?

we are doing just fine, had 16 chicks hatch yesterday. 4 lav orp,3 polish and the rest are lav orp black cochin cross. the cross chicks will produce 25% lav when crossed back together is anybody wants to try to make LF lav cochins

I just don't need another project right now but I couldn't give up my chochin hens when I sold off the rest of the lavers and just kept the lavender orp girls. the cochin hens are great big fluff bombs

I got rid of all my buff orps just to raise black with lav gene but do have on blue and one splash hen. Just had six chicks hatch. I have purchased some lav eggs and they will come next week.
I kept two curly tailed cochin hens as they are just too pretty to get rid of.

I have three chicks now that are black and three that are blue? I am not sure if they are lavender or not at this point.
