good morning all seems like it is going to be another nice day today, I really wish rain was not in the forcast any longer. Really need several days for everything to dry out a bit.

Does anyone have any hen turkeys, diamond doves, button quail, or India fantail pigeons they would sell?? I'm having a heck of a time finding anything lately...

None too happy tonight... My roo has gone mean. He has attacked my 2 youngest kids each and now me twice. The first time he went after my son ans we have no idea what provoked him. The time he went after my daughter, I was right there and had just picked up one of my Polish girls that doesn't mind being held. I dropped her and went a kickin' at that roo to get him to stop and he came after me about 6 or 7 times until my husband came over. Tonight, he came at me and I kicked him in the head once and growled at him and he walked away. Do they just get a taste for it once they've started?? He's got to go.

Cant say the same for my turkey toms but that is normally only during breeding season and once you set them straight you are good till next season. If you are needing fertile eggs, I'd suggest locking him in with his girls and letting the girls out but not him. I'd also suggest a rooster cage if he you really need him. Otherwise, I'd send him packing...

I am soo excited, I have my first buyer for my eggs! I have 8 doz. sold to him.With the cost of feed going almost as high as gas, I cant just keep giving them away. Thank goodness they can free range for a while. What is everyone else selling their eggs for??

Eggs are a weird thing. People tend to be willing to pay more to the grocery store than to a farmer... Eggs are about the only thing you can do that with. If you could find a local CSA to exchange eggs with, that'd be a great way to do this. That way you get a lot of free veggies for your efforts.
