Got two 8-week old silkies from the breeder yesterday, she didn't know what sex they are but hubby and I vote "roo" for both of them... dunno, just a hunch as they already have tiny combs and their head feathers seem to go back as opposed to fluffy?

Or could it go either way at that age?

I'm no expert but my guess is the top one may be a hen. Looks a lot like my Nifty who turned out to be the only female in our flock. I'd have to go with roo on the second one though. Good luck!
