Calving season has started

We had our first calf of the season yesterday morning. Mama is a first time mama.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. We are taking our Jersey to the AI guy in the morning. He gets sexed semen and we are getting a heifer calf from a great bull. All of this is so amazing to me.

I love calving time! If the young heifer ever gets her new calf up closer to where I can snap a pic I will. Big old bull in the field so this old gal does not venture to the meadow much!!
